Juicer.Kitchen Verdict

The Breville Citrus Press Pro is one of the easiest citrus juicers we’ve ever tested. With its power-assisted lever, no hard pressing is required. So even if you don’t have much hand or arm strength, the machine still squeezes limes, oranges, and grapefruits nearly dry with minimal effort.
It looks great on the counter and feels solid thanks to its metal construction. Cleanup is very easy — just rinse the three parts or put them in the dishwasher. There are a couple of things to keep in mind. The handle doesn’t lock down, which makes the unit about 18 inches tall, and it does cost more than most citrus juicers. Even so, if you juice citrus regularly, the build quality, performance, and convenience make the price easy to justify.
If you want something more budget-friendly, the non-Pro Breville Citrus Press offers similar performance in a lighter plastic body. But for premium stainless steel construction, the Citrus Press Pro is our top choice.
Pros
Power-assisted lever reduces required pressure
All-metal, durable construction
Very easy to clean
Cons
Handle does not lock down for compact storage.
Higher price due to metal construction.
Only 1 year warranty

Citrus Press Pro Detailed Review
Intro
Among all the dedicated citrus juicers we’ve tested over the years — manual, lever-style, and fully automated — the Breville Citrus Press Pro sits right at the top.
If you’ve ever used a regular electric citrus juicer, you already know the frustration. You have to press down hard on the fruit just to get the cone spinning. Your wrist starts to ache, juice runs down your hands immediately, and once the fruit gets slippery, holding on becomes even harder. It’s tiring, messy, and honestly not the most enjoyable way to make a morning orange juice.
With the Breville, that entire experience changes. The power-assisted lever does the work for you. Place the fruit, lower the handle with a light touch — even a single finger — and it extracts everything, leaving the peel almost white.
Design & Build Quality

The first thing you notice about the Breville Citrus Press Pro is the build. The brushed stainless steel body gives it a true restaurant-grade feel. It’s solid and heavy at about 11 lbs, and far sturdier than the flimsy plastic juicers that tend to wobble or rattle on the counter. It’s also the kind of appliance you won’t mind leaving out—it actually elevates the look of the kitchen.
The 100-watt motor runs quietly and smoothly, and the lever mechanism feels strong and well-engineered.
One thing to keep in mind: the handle doesn’t lock down. It naturally springs upward, which makes the juicer a little over 18 inches tall in its resting position. Fully compressed, it’s closer to 11 inches, but since the handle sits upright by default, you’ll want to check your cabinet clearance if you store appliances under upper cabinets.
Overall, it’s a clean, well-built machine with a premium, long-lasting feel.
How to prep the produce
Prep is the same as with any citrus juicer: cut your limes, oranges, grapefruits, or any citrus in half — no peeling needed. After that, place it on the cone and press the lever.
Performance
This is where the Breville Citrus Press Pro really stood out during our testing.
We ran it through lemons, limes, oranges, and large grapefruits, and the first thing you notice is how little physical effort it takes. If you don’t have much hand strength or simply dislike squeezing citrus, this machine is a relief. The power-assisted lever handles the pressure — you just guide it down with a light touch.
As we moved through different fruit sizes, the performance stayed consistent. Tiny key limes, big grapefruits — it handled everything without hesitation. Every half came out almost white inside, which shows how thoroughly it extracts juice.

Across all the citrus juicers we tested, the Breville consistently finished faster, required less effort, and produced slightly more juice. It really is a quick “press and toss” experience. It’s also very quiet for an electric press, so you can juice early in the morning without waking anyone.
Juice Taste
The juice tasted fresh and bright. In reality, all citrus juicers make very similar-tasting juice since they work the same way, so the flavor differences were minimal. The real advantage of the Breville isn’t the taste — it’s the ease of use and its build quality.
Assembly and Cleaning?
Cleanup is one of the biggest reasons we like this machine. There are only four parts to wash — the juice collector, strainer, fruit dome, and cone. They pop off easily, and a quick rinse right after juicing is usually all you need. Everything is also dishwasher safe.
Assembly is just as simple. The parts click into place naturally with almost no learning curve.
Dedicated citrus juicers like this are far easier to clean than multipurpose juicers. If you only juice citrus, this type of machine is the most convenient option.
Warranty?
You get a 1-year warranty, which is standard for citrus juicers. Considering the premium build and price, we would have liked something longer for added peace of mind.
Comparison with other Juicers
Breville Citrus Press vs Breville Citrus Press Pro
We tested the non-Pro Breville model as well. It has a lighter plastic body instead of metal, but the performance was very similar and it was just as easy to use. The Pro’s metal construction and added sturdiness give it the edge — but it also costs more. Honestly, both are excellent juicers, and you’d be happy with either one.
Citrus Press Pro vs Cheaper Lever-Style Juicers
We also tested cheaper lever-style juicers like the Eurolux. They were fine for the price, but they didn’t come close to the Breville experience.
There are also inexpensive fully automatic citrus juicers, but the lightweight plastic construction and overall performance didn’t impress us enough to recommend them.
Final words?
Yes — $250 is a lot for a citrus-only juicer. But after testing it extensively, we understand why it’s priced at a premium.
It’s easy to use, requires minimal hand strength, and cleans up quickly. The all-metal construction not only looks great on the counter but also gives it the durability cheaper plastic models simply don’t offer. And in terms of performance, it squeezes citrus so cleanly that even limes come out nearly dry.
If you juice citrus regularly and want a machine that feels premium, lasts, and makes the process easier, the Breville Citrus Press Pro remains our top recommendation.
