Best Twin Gear Juicer 2026 – Tested & Reviewed

Twin-gear juicers are built for maximum extraction. In our testing, they consistently produced the highest juice yield from almost every type of produce—greens, roots, vegetables, and even most fruits. That said, we don’t recommend this style if your juicing is mostly fruit-only. With very soft or ripe fruits like pineapple or berries, we noticed foam buildup and occasional backing up. Mix those fruits with firmer ingredients, though, and they perform just fine.

Where twin-gear juicers truly shine is green and root juicing. Leafy greens, celery, wheatgrass, carrots, and beets are squeezed to the last drop by two interlocking augers. Compared to single-auger juicers, the yield difference on greens and roots is significant. The fibers are broken down more thoroughly, and the juice consistently tastes deeper and more full-bodied.

The trade-off is effort: you’ll need to actively feed harder ingredients, and cleaning takes longer than with single-auger horizontal juicers. But if your priority is maximum yield and top-tier juice quality, twin-gear juicers are in a class of their own.

The Angel Juicer stands in a class of its own. We haven’t tested another home juicer that extracts more juice.

Across our tests—carrots, apples, oranges, grapes, lettuce—the Angel consistently delivered the highest yield, with the driest pulp we’ve seen from any consumer juicer. The only exception was very soft pineapple, where vertical slow juicers performed slightly better.

One major differentiator is construction. The Angel is entirely stainless steel, meaning zero plastic contact with juice at any point.

It’s undeniably expensive, but for frequent juicers, the higher yield can repay the price over time through reduced produce usage.

If budget isn’t a concern and your top priorities are maximum yield and zero plastic contact with juice, the Angel Juicer remains our favorite.

For those who want a twin-gear juicer without Angel-level pricing, we recommend the Greenstar 5.

In our tests, the Angel still produced about 5–15% more juice, depending on the produce—but the Greenstar 5 offers a much stronger price-to-performance ratio.

It’s the latest model in the Greenstar lineup and a clear upgrade over older versions. Compared to the Pro and Elite models, it has more durable components, a sleeker design, and improved ease of use and cleaning. The twin gears are stainless steel, though the juice housing is plastic.

You also get more screens and a better overall warranty than Angel, making it a strong long-term option.

While the Greenstar 5 is our preferred model today, the older Greenstar Elite still delivers very similar juice yield and quality at a lower price. In our testing, extraction was nearly identical across the Elite, Pro, and 5 models—the main difference comes down to materials. The Elite uses a stainless-steel and nylon gear combination, whereas the Greenstar 5 features fully stainless-steel gears.

With a 12-year warranty and strong extraction performance, the Elite still remains a good option for those who want twin-gear performance at the lowest possible cost.

  • I love my Green Star Elite juicer. I had a vertical slow juicer and there was so much pulp in the juice . Green Star works exceptionally well at juicing leafy greens and there is hardly any pulp left in the juice. Yield is higher and I can make sorbet desserts too. Don’t regret buying although it was a bit pricey.

  • I am trying to figure out what the best juicer is for me. I want to juice hard and soft vegetables, most types of fruits, as well as avocado seeds and Pomegranate seeds. I most likely will not use wheatgrass, as I am gluten intolerant. Thank you for your help!
